Roxanne Campbell was born in north London and raised in Hackney. She has always been creative, and from a young age she had a true passion for nails.
Roxanne cites her Mum, who was a Nail Technician, as her earliest inspiration. Before she began any formal training, she started to teach herself how to manicure nails, which often meant practising on her aunts and cousins. Her Mum saw her talent and encouraged her to pursue a career in nails. Roxanne then enrolled on a course in Nail Technology and decided to take her career in nails to the next level. After she qualified in 2006, she started working in nail salons and nail bars where she honed her craft and gained years of experience.
As time went by, Roxanne decided to pivot her career to work in the fashion industry while still focusing on nails. She started out by assisting, then moved on to freelancing and working on test shoots for up-and-coming fashion magazines. She soon started collaborating with different Fashion Designers which allowed her to showcase her creativity, skill and talent.
Roxanne Campbell is now a successful, multi-award-winning Nail Expert who has developed a prominent profile in the industry over the last 15 years. Her awards include Manicurist of the Year 2013. She has been the selected Nail Artist for high-profile international events including the London 2012 Olympic Games, where she created nails for top athletes. Roxanne is also one of the lead Manicurists and Nail Artist at London, New York and Paris Fashion Week and works closely with prestigious designers including Emilia Wickstead, David Koma, Self-Portrait, Ports 1961, Amanda Wakeley, Ashley Williams, Huishan Zhang and Mashama to name a few. Roxanne has worked on major fashion campaign covers and editorial spreads with Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle and Tatler. She has created nails for Alicia Keys, Adele, Idris Elba, Eve, Dua Lipa and super models Jourdan Dunn and Winnie Harlow.
Roxanne also teaches Nail Technology and has been on the judging panel at Nailympia London.
